Good, but won't recognize unformatted drives
I bought this enclosure because it has the firewire interface in addition to USB. I put a brand new unformatted drive into it and with either the USB or firewire interface, my XP laptop in the disc management window could not see the new drive. (This has worked in the past with other drive enclosures.) So I used a hard drive cable adaptor instead, just to get the drive partitioned and formatted. I then reinstalled the hard drive back into the enclosure which is the subject of this review, and then the drive was recognized and accessible. This was not a big problem for me but be advised that you might not be able to partition and format a brand new blank drive in this enclosure.

Excellent
Very simple to set, just 6 screws and you are done! 1st step: unscrew 2 screws from the back (where the connections are); 2nd step: pull the tray out of the housing and slide the HDD in to the drive bay 'till it locks and make contact with the terminals; 3rd step: screw the 4 screws of the HDD; 4th step: close it and screw back the 2 first screws... finish!
