Does what it says
Surely there are a lot of intermediate steps that add lag to this convert's task, but it gets the job done. Mine did include a power cable

Works ok
It works however I used it on old IDE drive and my case was not deep enough for it to fit. Moved drive to a empty dvd slot works well

Works as I expected
This is a great compliment to the other tools you should have when upgrading old hard drives or mother boards. It transfers a lot fast than a USB to SATA interface. And it is in a decent case so you do not need to worry about it shorting out on the computer case.

didn't include power cord
hooked up easy ...got power to converter ...but there was no power cord from converter to drive

Not to impressed
Takes hours to copy a 1 GB file over to a drive with this converter attached. The system sometimes doesn't recognize the drive on account of the adapter.

Awesome!!
I had built my own pc and my previous pc had the older IDE harddrives. I had thousands of songs and family pics on my old hard drive. I used this to connect my old hard drive to my new Sata Mother board and just copied all of my files from my old drive to my new one. Very quick and very easy!

it works
it does what it supposed to do but im going to invest in a sata hard drive so i dont have to deal with this item any longer. i dont believe its allowing my hardware the compatibility its needing to perform to its fullest potential. i have sata motherboard and ide hard drive and this converter isnt allowing my computer to boot from the hard drive everytime i start my computer. it doesnt allow my hard drive to be detected all the time for some reason!!

Works Great!!!
Had some trouble at first with the drive jumpering, but Sharanpal Ghataura in support did a great job with getting that fixed.
