Caution: Buyer Beware
I bought this computer because of many friends recommending this website, I get it home and it was so over loaded with crap (that was supposed to have been cleaned out)it ended up costing me $189 to get it cleaned up. I am not happy with that!! Once cleaned up, now it runs fine and I have no complants as to performance and or speed.

Excellent value, appears to be of good quality
I bought his computer for my wife to manage documents and spreadsheets, given that our daughters have taken control of the family computer to edit their YouTube videos. The computer looks almost new. Setup and registration was easy. If you are not gaming, then the processor is more than enough for most every task. The wireless card works very well. We can stream movies with pretty nice quality. Why buy new when you can recycle a used computer for cheap? After one month of use, I can say I would buy another one of these in the future.

Very impressed
The machine boots up cleanly into Win XP. It has a good sized hard drive. Floating point calculations are faster than on the hp nc6220 or a Pentium D 940 desktop. (Test was sum of reciprocals squared from 1 through 500,000.) Also despite being advertised as a 1024x768 screen, this particular notebook is actually 1400x1050. There is the option to reduce that to 1024x768 if the user wants to. Installed MAXIMA, MikTeX, CLISP, Python, Erlang and Evince without any problems. For writing papers, other business uses, and scientific computations that do not require the latest heavy iron, this machine will do quite well.

Good product
Great laptop for the price. All hardware work fine. Runs fast with XP, but will require memory upgrade if you want to upgrade OS to Vista or Win 7.
