I bought this unit around 3 years ago and it has performed as intended since installation. There are two models, one with external plugs and one with internal plugs. Unfortunately, Tiger only has the external model. This unit keeps it simple and for the price, who can complain??

I have bought two of these; one for my PC and one for my Mac G4 (mirror door). I like having audio, card reader, USB and firewire up front and Ultra was the only company I found that makes this design. I also trust Ultra to work with Macs if they say so. I have to insert my SD card upside down and unlocked which is a minor inconvenience but otherwise I find the easy access very handy. They fit my Mac (just) and when I made a mistake in installation, Ultra gave timely customer support.

This was a little difficult to set up. It needed 3 different drivers, and even then it didn't work exactly as it should have. Once i got the drivers down it did ok. What do you expect for $20? It is nice to have everything all in one place.

I have had this dashboard installed since 12/04. It works perfect for what I use it for. No problems reading cards (yes SD cards go in upside down). Yes it is a USB extension to front of case using 3 rear USB ports but I already had a 5 port USB expansion (came with mobo) in addition to the 4 USB ports on the ASUS K8V SE Deluxe mobo. I had to leave the rear mobo ports cover plate off to route the USB and MIC cables out of the case. The only downside is the panel color does not match my silver case.

Everything works fine, cables were just long enough in my Antec tower. In order to read an SD card I have to carefully insert the card only about 85% in.
