Excellent alternative to running cable
Plugged one in next to my router, plugged in the other in my son's bedroom on the other side of the house. Solid internet connection on his desktop running XP. Only complaint is the indicator lights are to bright for a bedroom. No software included, don't seem to need any

No Improvement
I thought this would improve my speed over my wireless connection. The units connected and no problems activating. However, my speed dropped in half versus the wireless. Tried different circuits throughout the house with same results. Don't know if it's my wiring or the units. Returned them for refund.

What a mess
This is my second attempt to submit this review. Bought three which arrived with no software and SN blacked out. You need SN to register item with Netgear. Netgear website out of service for software downloads and customer support. Item works intermittently and is unreliable. Next step is a return if at all possible.

Works great !!
I bought this as a refurb, and it was up and running in minutes. No wires running all through the house, and no worries about speed. I have my ps3 hooked up to it and everything is working great.

NO customer service from NetGear
No instructions except to download software from site. Site had no software for this product, or I could not find it. I wasted over $50 (ordered two + shipping) and they are sitting in the box, because plugging them in got no results - e.e., no drivers loaded nor no connection established.

Works great.
Mine was a refurb so great value too. I think I paid about $50.00 for it. But when I called Netgear for some advice on installing they wouldn't talk to me unless I paid another $39.00. I thought that was excessive. Anyway, sorted out the install myself and it is fine.

It works!
I plug it in the AC outlet and it connects to the existing network right away. You can't get any more easier than that.

Did not work with my existing NetGear Powerline
Did not work with my existing NetGear Powerline adapters. Emailed NetGear; but never got a response. Sitting in closet now. Wish I could return for refund.

this is only 1 unit
Since I have buy this type of thing before, I keep thinking it come in pair, when I saw the box and it is only one, then the price of the special is nothing special, I end up return it. They need to improve the way they show the product.

Easy Install for a product that works great
I've bought this present as a gift to my in-laws to go with a Blu-Ray DVD player with an ethernet connexion to be able to use Netflix, Youtube, etc. It worked immediately after plugging everything, absolutely no issues, works great!
