Advanced features for a mid level price
I wanted a smaller camera, one easier to tote in a tee shirt or shorts pocket. I wasn't too concerned about advance features other than high megapixels and a decent zoom. This camera has both those AND advanced shooting controls and capabilities found on other units costing much more, including full HD movie capability, on the fly color correction, and an excellent adjustment for light source(plus all those scene options that come on most cameras these days). A bonus, for me anyway, was the full manual included in the box in addition to the quick start guide. I have purchased digital cameras in the past with only the quick start guide, requiring you to download the full manual. One would not go wrong buying this camera.
