Good bang for your buck
I bought this to replace my 2.6 ghz phenom II x6 core, and the performance boost was huge assassins creed 3 is giving me around 40 fps(up from the 10 fps with my old core).

Great Product! Be sure your mobo supports 125W cpu
My motherboard (mobo) specs said that it supported all AMD Phenom 9xx series cpu's... but that's not true. Being somewhat new to cpu upgrades, I didn't think to check the TDP rating on my mobo. This processor runs at 125 watts, where most other Phenom 9xx series cpu's are 95 watts. My mobo only supported up to 95 watts. So I ended up purchasing a new mobo just to use this cpu... and it was well worth it. (Moved from an Athlon II x4 635). It does run a little hotter than my old cpu, so I added an extra case fan. I will probably convert to liquid cpu cooling at some point for overclocking.

Great CPU
I haven't found anything this chip won't do and fast. I have no heat or instability problems and I have been running it for 16 months. It performs as advertised. I have always run AMD in my machines and this is the reason why.

Hold onto your seat!
This processor blows everything out of the water. I have it running at 3.4Ghz, not OC'd yet, and I have never seen Diablo III and Call of Duty run so smooth. I didn't upgrade my video card when I upgraded everything else, and my video improved from Low settings to High settings, no stuttering or lag whatsoever. This is definitely the CPU for you unless of course you are going after the 6 or 8 core.
