Works fast, but...
I have had this machine for 1 day and just like with another reviewer, the DVD eject button doesn't work straight out the box. Have to keep pressing it and hoping it will open eventually. HDD completely died within 9 months. Sent it back to Gateway for repair ; died again 2 months later. Sent it for repairs again, a month later, it's died again, but now it's off warranty including the 90 day repair warranty. They kept replacing the failed HDD with used and apparently corrupted parts. Don't be fooled by the shiny box.

It was great for 1 year only
Received this on Feb 24 2010 and was very impressed. Fast, quiet, ran several programs at once. I work part time from home for a call center and this even ran all of their programs with ease. On March 18 2011 wouldn't start up. Disk read error CTRL ALT DEL to restart and was stuck in that loop. Left it shut down all say on March 19 2011. On March 20 2011 it now says Error loading operating system. Our tech guy at work said he'd look at it for me, but I think I'll probably be buying ANOTHER new PC. I bought this to replace an e machine that I had for about 5 years - this only last 13 months.

Great Value
My experience with this computer has been completely uneventful, and I mean that in the best sense of the term. It does what you want, very quickly, and effortlessly. It has sufficient speed and memory to multitask without problem, and thus far appears rock solid overall. All this, at a great price. For people with routine computing needs that don't need a Cray substitute, this is a very good value.

Not functional
Same experience as another reviewer; the PC was dead out of the box with absolutely no graphics to several monitors I tried. As another was unavailable it was quickly replaced by a similar, but larger mini-tower which is quite satisfactory. The product is of course not able to be rated, but the Gateway response was excellent.

Great value for this solid computer!
I have this PC for a month. Great value compare to Dell and HP. I am please with the performance. Windows 7 run very smooth. Run HD video throught HDMI without problem. It is very quiet. Ideal for HTPC. Only complain is it doesn't have much room for upgrade.
