worked but does not have any distance ability at all. out of range at 2 ft.

Not a bad deal for the price.
I used the adhesive backing to attach it to the bottom of my monitor, which is actually a 48 inch wide screen 1080p HD TV. So the mic only sits about 32 inches from my face. So far I have had no trouble with it, and when used on sound chat the other parties had no trouble hearing me.

Works as advertised but can sound low without adjusting decibel gain setting in windows.
