Its 60GB hard disk drive allows you to record up to 22 hours and 55 minutes of crisp, high definition video (LP Mode). It’s also a dual system camcorder, with the capability of recording video and still images to an SDHC card as well.
The VIXIA HG20 boasts 1920 x 1080 Full HD, and has a CODEC capable of recording 24Mbps – the highest AVCHD bitrate – through Canon's own Full HD CMOS Image Sensor and advanced DIGIC DV II image processor. Other exclusives are a new Genuine Canon 12x HD video lens, SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization and Instant AutoFocus and a host of other advanced features including an HDMI™ Connector. Extremely pleased with this buy.
Was happy to get the refurbished camcorder for a third original price. It was shipped to the house sooner than expected. Out of the package it functioned perfectly and looked brand new. It's used for recording family footage around the house and works great for us. Only aspect I didn't like was that it saves videos in a format I found difficult to find a program to view or convert. Overall wonderful.

HG20 - great camera
I hesitated buying a refurbished camera, but couldn't afford a new one. The HG20 appeared to be brand new, has operated flawlessly, and produces wonderful video. While researching it, the HG20 appeared to be the perfect video camera for our needs, maybe even over-spec'ed, but a new one was out of our price range. No regrets on getting a refurbished product. Easy-mode is perfect for my wife. Menus take some getting used to (what menu system doesn't!). Bundled software is bare-bones, but sufficient for a non-videographer.

Good Service
Bought the refurb model, but had problems uploading footage onto my computer. No complaints with the company, absolutely great customer service and shipping, camera just didn't work out for me.

Great Deal
After months of research on HD Camcorders, I was about to purchase a more expensive and different brand camcorder. Then I ran across this product at a great price and with excellent features, but it was a refurb.. I have purchased many refurbished products from here and found that the only difference between Refurb and New is the Packaging and a dramitic price difference. This Camcorder not only was priced at over half the cost of a new in the box model it was also 75 Dollars less than the NIB Camcorder from another company I was about to buy. Along with all of the above, it was a better camcorder with more features than the model I was looking at. To me Refurb means, No fancy packaging. I feel very lucky to have run across this camcorder while getting ready to buy the other. More to Come...
