Clear instructions but not recognizable
The unit fit the IDE drive nicely. Instructions were very clear. All the wires fit well. However, the computer, a DakTech Pentium with Intel Inside, did not see the unit. BIOS menu had nothing to identify it. Very sorry it didn't work.

Did not work with IDE CD-ROM
I plugged it into the back of an IDE CD-ROM, connected all the cables, and the computer did not see anything.

Defective out of the box
Adapter did not work. I had to buy an IDE drive compatible with the IDE motherboard.

Reversed description
Confusing description. Actually supports SADA drives from an IDE motherboard port, does not support IDE drives.

Burnout
I used this product on a smaller laptop drive and worked great. Then I used on the larger desktop drive. When I plugged in the power cable it smelled like an electrical fire. I put the drive back in the computer and never did get it to work. Just wondered if I burned up the hard drive. Anybody else have this issue? Kind of scared to use it again on the desktop drive where you have to plug in the power cord.. Smaller laptop drive didnot require the power cord.

wrong way
from the description online, I thought this owuld work but it is actually a sata drive to pata motherboard connector, I needed the other way around. so they are just sitting.
