I have owned the Kindle 1, Kindle DX, Kindle 3 and Nook, and now the Sony Digital Edition. I love to read and need access to multiple book sources, including library books. The Sony Daily Edition is wonderful technologically; however, the 3G is low and the Sony ebookstore selection is small compared to the Kindle ebookstore. The touch screen works great and navigating while reading is a pleasure. |

I tried the Kindle DX before sending it back and getting the Sony. I like the Kindle screen much better - it's larger and much clearer to read. But I don't want to have to buy books for it, and with the Sony I can download e-books from the library. Also, the Sony works much better for PDF reading, so I can read my work documents too. And it's less expensive than Kindle DX. Overall, it does what I wanted. |

My hubby is a constant reader but of late the font in most books is near impossible for him. He said he'd like an EBOOK and all I saw was the expense. I must now admit it appears to a better way for him to read and obviously worth every cent
|

My husband bought this for my birthday last month. It is a wonderful gift. It is so user friendly. Downloading ebooks from my computer or online is a breeze. My husband also got the light attachment which makes it easier for him to sleep while I read at night. The weight is tolerable even tho I have a bit of carpal tunnel. I don't live in a large city so I cannot download books from a local library, but there are places on line where you can get all the classic works for free. I'm sure it will get easier as time progresses and more people are reading electronically. My grandsons like the write and draw feature. They can leave me notes or pictures. The best feature is type size. It makes books so much easier to read when you don't have to squint to see the words. |

This unit does everything it is supposed to do. There is some glare from the touch screen, but it can be angled away without difficulty.
Screen is about the size of a paperback. |
