D-Link DUB-H7 USB Hub
The D-Link DUB-H7 2.0 is a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-port hub that is backward compatible with USB 1.0 and 1.1. It provides an out-of-the-box industry standard that allows the connection of up to seven USB peripherals or devices to your USB ready PC or Mac. The D-Link DUB-H7 is targeted at PC and Mac users that are expanding the number of USB ports on their system.
Designed to provide quick and easy access, the D-Link DUB-H7 provides seven type "A" downstream ports for connecting USB peripherals, devices, or other USB hubs. A single type "B" upstream port connects the DUB-H7 to the host computer or another USB hub, enabling up to 127 devices to be connected by cascading multiple hubs. Configured directly by the operating system, the D-Link DUB-H7 operates seamlessly with both Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh Operating Systems.
As a standard USB hub, the D-Link DUBH7 buffers USB data from any attached peripheral in compliance with USB specifications to provide an invisible extension of the USB bus. Supporting both low-speed (1.5Mbps and 12Mbps) and high-speed (480Mbps) devices, each port creates a bridge between the peripheral and host computer.
Diagnostic LEDs provide port status for each port and power status. The DUB-H7 includes a Quick Install Guide, a 6-foot Hi-Speed USB 2.0 certified 'A' to 'B' cable, and an AC power supply.

I bought two of these Hubs. In about 6 months of service, each has had the white insert for the USB Cable fall out. Three Ports are damaged so far. I have never had this happen to any other USB device to date. So I have to assume that it was just a poor selection of plastic that is used on these devices. It is a shame, as it is a nice design. But design without function is still garbage. |

This powered USB hub is no exception. Ready to go - Simply plug it in. Compact design allows for neatly stacking all those extra USB devices that won't fit in the limited slots on the PC. Best of all, they offered a nice rebate that makes the cost even more enticing. |

the newer USB 2.0 transfers data dramatically faster - up to 40 times
quicker. Plus, USB 2.0 provides additional bandwidth for multimedia and
storage applications, which are growing larger every year. Also to your
advantage is the fact that USB 2.0 is forward and backward compatible with
USB 1.1, which means that cables and connectors made for the original USB
configuration will also work perfectly in a USB 2.0 port, though some newer
devices are specifically designed for USB 2.0. It is always a good
idea to verify the version of USB supported by each device you want to use. |
