This is a great cable lock. The cable is very thick and durable. It is very handy to be able to create your own code sequence. Works very well.

does the job at a reasonable price. My need was more for a deterant than absolute security so this will do the job nicely

Great value

Pros: 1) The price performance of the lock is unbeatable. It's affordable enough that you don't feel like your laptop is protected while your wallet is being stolen. 2) Being able to set the combo is a huge plus, and the combo has a nice feel to setting the numbers. 3) The cable is sturdy and vinyl coated. Cons It's strong enough to keep the honest...honest, but it's not as secure as a defcon. When installed there is some movement. the lock could probably be physically removed while doing minor damage to the laptop. I'm not going to attempt this, but for most of us the lock is an added margin of safety in a fairly safe environment, like work or hotel. If I were a teacher I would not trust this to secure a laptop in a school.

Can be VERY hard to remove

I used it about 5X and the 5th time I could not get it off my MacBook Pro. I eventually was able to get the two tines to collapse with a small screw driver. I have not used it since so I don't know how often this happens. At least the combo did not change as with some locks.

Easy to use and exactly what I needed!

The bottom line is that its a good price and exactly what I needed! Easy to read instructions are included in the packaging. I use my laptop on the road for tradeshows and the rotating head on the lock allows me to easily maneuver the computer as needed without the cable getting in the way.
