Great Soundbar for the Money

Easy setup (about 5 minutes). Tweeters are a bit tinny at higher volumes. Bass and suboofer work well. Easy controls, but a bit tedious using the AMP Menu buttom to flick through all the options. Overall, very happy with this item. Have had it for a month now, and no complaints. Didn't expect the very best out there, but for the price it is a great 2.1 channel soundbar system.

It's A Sony!

For those below a certain age, that Sony tag line is probably meaningless, but that ad line was at one time synonymous with quality and smart design. Though Sony is no longer in that class, this Soundbar echoes Sony's Golden Age. It's beautiful to look at, has plenty of clean power through most of its range and has almost the right number of features. Setup required a glance or two at the manual, not the usual esoteric PhD in Sony-Controlology. The tweeters struggle a bit at the high end and it might benefit from an equalizer instead of the bass and treble controls it sports. But for the price, AMAZING!

Best soundbar for the money

I purchased this unit to improve the sound on my Vizio LED TV. I didn't want to connect a full blown home theater system. I researched soundbars and decided on this Sony HTCT260. I love the convenience of having a wireless subwoofer. The bluetooth feature allows connection to a capable audio device. The sound is great. My room is not that big so this is perfect.

Excellent sound.

I wasn't displeased so much with the built in speakers on my Bravia HDTV but wanted more. The Sony HTCT260 Soundbar with Subwoofer gives me much more and has several options on the remote that let me change effects.

An outstanding update to the TV speakers

As much as I didn't want to update my TV speakers and replace them,I was compelled to by the poor quality of the sound I was getting across our room. After researching different soundbars (I wanted a wireless solution which didn't require placing too many speakers across the room), I decided to go with the HTCT260. Its wireless sub works great. Although it doesn't have an HDMI input, the digital coax is working like a charm. Sound is amazing, and lastly, it can stream music wirelessly through bluetooth. So, while my iphone is getting charged across the room, its music is played out through the soundbar. Love it.
