Runs cool, Very Reliable
We use several external drives from different manufactures. This one beats the others having, the lowest noise,no errors,and cool operation. We only buy this brand now.

Excellent, fast and quiet external hard drive
I have had this hard drive for a few weeks now and I have been impressed by how quiet this external drive operates. The quality of the casing is top notch, the brushed silver casing with the mesh like front end is aesthically pleasing and blends in well with my other peripherals. I have it connected to my Dell professional workstation via eSATA and have found the transfer speeds to be blazingly fast compared to my other hard drive which is connected via a USB2 connection. I would definitely purchase this item again in the future.

Nice drive but should come with eSATA cable......
Who doesn't have a bunch of extra USB cables laying around? Fantom saw it fit to give you a USB cable, something you can find just about anywere. BUT, No eSATA cable!?! So do I drive 30 minutes each way to get a $10 cable or order one for $4?

Working Great so Far!
It has done it's job so far. Most do when first purchased. For some reason they fail for me after about one to two year time frame. This is my first Fantom I have owned. Case quality could be better.
