I have two

This is my second Squeezebox. I purchased the first one about 6 months ago and was impressed with the quality and ease of set-up. Very good sound with small footprint. Tried another less expensive brand, but was not happy and returned it and purchased another Squeezebox. My wife even loves it, and she is not into electronics. Your only frustration will be trying to decide what is your favorite among hundreds of listening options. Ordered on a Sunday, and was on my doorstep Tuesday.

Great Product

I love this radio. It is so flexible, however you choose to use it. I only wish the remote was available to purchase with the radio. I'm not sure what Bobby meant when he said you had to have squeezebox media server running at all times. I moved it to my office and there is no connection with my media server at home, only WiFi. The sound is very full for mono, but I've connected it to external speakers to enable stereo. The remote is very handy at work to adjust volume and to mute it when I receive a phone call. I'm planning to purchase another for home use, although it's quite portable. I've always been pleased with Logitech products.

A very good little internet radio, but....

I am very satisfied with the Squeezebox radio in all repects but one. It has excellent sound quality, intuitive controls, and looks good. The only drawback is that the six station preset buttons don't retain in their memory the selected stations for more than a day. Logitech customer service was absolutely no help despite multiple calls. Based on a suggestion from others experiencing the same problem, I learned that if I un-synced the radio from the Squeezebox server control panel on my computer, the presets would stay in memory. This is a design defect or software defect and is inexcusable. But for this flaw, I would have gven the product five stars in every category.

Excellent Product and Price

I checked all over and this was the best price. Sound quality is fantastic. Set up was really easy and I am no techie. Love being able to get any artist, program, type of music, station all over the world. It's fascinating. TV is not on. Listening to music (and reading) or programs. Love it!!!!

Does The Job Well

I currently own 2 Squeezebox Radios and a Squeezebox Duet. Ihave owened one of the radios and the duet for over 2 year, with no problems in service and performance. Works as proposed. My next purchase will be the Squeezebox Touch. Will highly recommend.

Works excellently with the server up

First off, be aware that you must have the media server software for squeezebox running at all times in order to use this unit. I knew this coming in, but it seems others don't. Even if you just want to use Pandora or some other app, the media server must be on and connected. That being said, the unit is wonderful. I use it to play songs and playlists from my own music collection, as well as use apps like Pandora. The setup was a breeze, just needed to use the scroll wheel to enter in my network password and login information to the media server. I'm no audiophile, but the music plays clearly and well, although there seems to be a bit of a lack of bass. Not bad though. Durable construction and looks nice. Also light enough to carry around. The android phone app is nice, although sometimes the unit doesn't respond to volume commands. Rare, but can be annoying. Haven't tried on an apple phone yet. Overall, I recommend!

Works well ONLY if you use Logitech Server

Almost had to send this radio back because it was impossible to get the alarm functions to work properly if you only connected it to the Logitech website. After many hours of research and reading numerous blogs on the issue I decided to install the Logitech server software locally on my WHS2011 machine since it stays on all the time. This solved the issue and it works perfectly now even though I dont share any media from my WHS2011 machine. So basically if you want to use this radios alarms without a local server running 24X7 don't buy it. If you have a local server instance running all the time it works great.

All I can say is...

LOVE IT. If you're thinking about getting one, stop thinking and do it. The price here is the best I found. One thing I really like is the control options. You can control it with a smartphone or iphone app as well as a web remote.

Awesome Radio

Worked great with minimal setup. I have a Grace internet radio as well, and this radio is much easier to set up and never drops the connection.

Great product for music lovers

Can't believe all the world-wide music stations that come through on this internet radio. Great, also, if you want to hear unbiased US news from BBC, etc.
