I purchased this player because I make home movies using my PC as a VCR (I add menus and chapters, too). I purchased several brand name DVD players, but had to return them because they would not play the movies properly, even though my older DVD players would play them just fine. Off a whim, I purchased this Hard Drive Media Player and it worked, right out of the box. The instructions were basically a joke, but no problem, because the controls are, for the most part, intuitive. The only thing I find confusing is that when you press the power button on the unit, its blue LED comes on, but the unit doesn't actually produce a video signal until you also press the power button on the remote (the button on the unit puts it in standby only). Overall, I am a very happy customer. |
