A bit disappointing

The scanner is well made and comes with a nice carrying case and a substantial USB cable. The performance is adequate for most documents and the software is also on par with other portable products I have seen. I am a bit disappointed with the business card program, the primary reason I purchased the scanner. The OCR is slow, and the integration of the business card program with Outlook is clunky at best.

not recommended for traveling

Like others have said it has trouble grasping the paper. I had it in my carry on bag with my netbook, after the flights I tried to use it but it sounded like an electric razor and would not move the paper, after a whack on the side it started working. I will go back to carrying a flatbed scanner.

Works excellent

We are currentyly using them on 5 construction sites with no problems.

excellent product

I purchased the scanner to use at home and for light work use. It has turned into one of the best investments I have made lately. It is constantly in use at work and I have had no problems with its performance so far. At this point, I would highly recommend it.

superior product

i'm a truck driver. & am required 2 fax or email my bill of laden 4 every delivery i make. this scanner saves me time & money on every load. saves me the money i would have 2 spend going 2 a truck stop & faxing the b.o.l. 2 the company i drive 4. but most of all it saves me time having 2 find a truck stop 2 do all this. well worth the money!! & has never given me a bit of grief.

Value Product

A great deal for the money. The only negative, NO operating instructions were sent with the equipment. Had to go to the internet.

Not bad, needs getting used to

Wanted something small for scanning small paper receipts that just wasn't practical doing on my flatbed. Bought it on special with rebate which made it more attractive to try...I don't think I would have purchased at regular price since I did already have a decent flatbed. It scans quite well (and fast), granted, the feeder takes some getting used to (to feed the paper straight), but it's not that bad once you get used to it. The included sw is pretty complete, the OCR capabilities need some fine tuning for importing scanned biz cards into Outlook, but it works. Still haven't tried importing receipt data into a spreadsheet, but imagine that would also need some tweaking till I got it just right. It is however small and lightweight, so it can easily be packed and brought on the road with you.

Good portable scanner

This is not a scanner for large amounts of scans. It is excellent for what it is advertised for: travel and easy portability. I set it up on my desktop at work and use it scan single pages when I don't want to wait for my assistant to scan. If you want one to scan many pages, check out the Fujitsu Scansnap. This one is much smaller and will do airline travel much easier.

Not really as advertised

Contrary to advertisement, it did not work well with MS Window7. The manual is obsolet. I spent a long time trying to figure it out but without success. I have to contact Xerox Support System who spent a long time adjusting it, and still, not functioning well. Overall picture is not great and the scanner does not work with smooth paper such as glossy publication. Overall, I am not satisfied with it.

Did not meet expectations

Feeding sheets is tricky (the rollers don't always grab). The sheets will scan crooked if there is a crease on the page for instance if you scan a letter unfolded from an envelope. Resolution and contrast controls are good. If the feeding issue was resolved it would be a good product - however for a scanner paper feed is crucial so I can't give more stars to this product.
