Its not rocket science per say....

What everyone is complaining about them not working with everything is that the device is literally Compliant with USB Specification v1 ONLY Some things are USB v2 only and some are BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE with USB v1 This means that you just need to check for backwards compatibility to tell if it will work I have used 2 of these for over 4 years now and they work flawlessly I am getting a new one today for a remote keyboard and mouse option Remember that cabling this way will not work on usb v3 or v2 you must make sure the device works on usb v1 thats all you need to do to make sure it will work

Worked better then I hoped for

Wish I had discovered this unit 3 months ago ! I am using it along with 80 feet of cable to attach my WiFi ( not self powered ) receiving adapter to the computer. I have found no voltage drop apparent. The layout is WiFi router in front house ( 90 feet away ) to back house , then to

great product

This thing works GREAT! Hooked up to a USB broadband modem to bring the modem to the other side of the house. Reception is what it should be, the internet connection is great and is as fast as the card will go thanks to this extender. A great find and a great buy.

Excellent buy!

This USB Extender works great! It's servicing a Logitech C910 Pro WebCam at the end of a 50-foot CAT5 run and has performed beautifully with excellent signal strength.

Problem Solve-ed

We had run a 36 foot USB run to a UPS Label printer, which I know is too long, but it worked fine for 4 years till the printer was replaced with another and for some reason would have to be re-initiated constantly. I think this coupling must boost the USB voltage, send down the ethernet cable, then reduce it at the other end. In any event, it works, and that is all I care about.
