nice firewire for a great price
This firewire card does a nice job in converting my video from my video camera(magnetic tape cartridge) to a dvd. the quality is pretty decent. what also I liked about this card is that it comes with 2 kinds of brackets, one for a regular pc and one for a slimline pc(which is the one I have). this is very clever and well thoughtout. this card also comes with the connecting wire to connect your video camera to your computer and another great feature about this card is it comes with free video software which does a pretty nice job in converting video from the video camera to a dvd that can be played on your dvd player attached to your t.v. screen. the software also is NOT a limited trial. It's yours to use forever. I really like this firewire card with the extras for a great price too. I would definitely recommend to anyone that needs a firewire card to get this one. you can't beat those features and the price.

Just great
I like the plug'n'play, perfect for any Firewire device. Needed this so I could sync music on a 1st generation iPod. Worked perfectly!

Just what I needed
I was looking around for a firewire card and cable. Everywhere else I looked I would have to purchase each separately. Best prices were about $20 each. Got this card and cable together for about half of one item elsewhere. Works great, no issues. Used this to transfer DV mini tapes to my PC.

sweet value for older machines
i bought it for my new computer, but i didnt double check the connections.. the card has an older connection type, that is not found in my new PC.. luckily it fits my old PC just fine so nothing lost :)

Didn't fit computer
My computer has a different slot that would not allow this card to be fitted. My local tech said I had a new type of slot. So, they special ordered the correct unit. The company from whom I ordered was nice enough to refund without return.
