A liitle short for a 17 inch laptop

It's nice that you can move the fans where you want them. The design is good - the construction is good - but, although it purportedly holds a 17 inch laptop - it really is undersized. The 17 inch laptop hangs over the edges, so it's easy to tip it off the stand. You need to use it with a wireless keyboard, otherwise it tips.

Well made

quiet at first, fans were dusty, and out of balance within the first few weeks. I cleaned them and it is quiet again.

Does what it is intended to do

Works good so far, only problem is the moveable fans, snap-out, click in, kind of a pain but acceptable considering the price point. No noise so far, happy with that. My laptop is on the larger side so a bit bigger base might have been better. Maybe I'll go with a size increase if this one gives out

Great concept, bad implementation

One of the fans started howling after 3 months. After going through several steps to contact the supplier, they promised to send replacement fans. When the fan set arrived, one of them was broken in such a way that it could not be mounted. I eventually took parts from the two sets to make a working set. The fans also turn slowly, which makes them quiet, but they don't move much air.

I like this product. Does the job, and makes the laptop easier to use. It is also very well made.

Better ergonomics

Started having issue with the laptop getting hot and 'stalling'. Purchased the CoolerMaster. No issues since, laptop stays cool. Easy to set up. Like that it doubles as a transport protector. Like the configurability of the fan locations. Took a little getting used to the angle the laptop sits at on the stand but now actually find it easier to keyboard and it raises the screen up higher so less neck strain.

Fan Wiring came apart gently straightning cords.

Got it delivered, opened it, unwrapped the cords, tryied to get the kinks out like I do on all new wired products, then the 2 wires came apart! So now I just use the nice Aluminum cooler stand it alone is worth the $25.

Nice concept, but cheap plastic

I liked the idea of the moveable fans. That way you can set them where they are most needed. But I was very disappointed, because when I moved one of the fans, both plastic clips snapped off. Poor quality plastic and very thin clips. Of course you can fiddle around and tie a wire to hold the fan, but it's really not convenient. I would not recommend buying this item unless you wish to clip the fans in place once and for all.
