I purchased my computer in Nov. When it arrived three days later, it looked almost like a brand new computer. All of the problems I was having with my old computer(crashing and very slow loading up) stopped with the new computer. Very good computer for the money spent. |

Purchased the computer as a secondary pc and so far so good. I didn't have the same XP license (to my knowledge) but I'm also not the most savvy commputer person. Hopefully I didn't omit an important step;-). If I need another PC in the future, I'd definitely purchase another OptiPlex. I speed is good and there's ton of hard drive space. |

Good clean unit. Fast and quiet.
Details for XP key were on separate document card which I overlooked in my haste to get the unit setup. Finding and using that document in the paperwork and using supplied key got XP installed, registration with MS was uneventful. |

The system performs to the advertised standards. The one downfall is when you try to register your Microsoft XP product key, it comes back invalid. Additionally, it is confusing because the original product key label is still affixed to the case, and it likewise is invalid. Depending on how this turns out, I may have to buy a separate XP license and that diminishes the value in my eyes. A little quality control needs to be done... |

the newer USB 2.0 transfers data dramatically faster - up to 40 times
quicker. Plus, USB 2.0 provides additional bandwidth for multimedia and
storage applications, which are growing larger every year. Also to your
advantage is the fact that USB 2.0 is forward and backward compatible with
USB 1.1, which means that cables and connectors made for the original USB
configuration will also work perfectly in a USB 2.0 port, though some newer
devices are specifically designed for USB 2.0. It is always a good
idea to verify the version of USB supported by each device you want to use. |
