Great backup unit
This is my 2nd Seagate NAS (I also have a 110) and am satisfied with it. Just plug it in and it works. Configure the administrator account password and you are ready to go. I love the gigabit nic since I just upgraded my wireless router to a gigabit one as well.

Great NAS, for no more than cost of just drives!
Came setup in RAID 1, took five minutes to setup and on my LAN as a 1TB NAS, upgraded from a WD .5TB NAS, I like the Seagate Management SW better, and it has a three year warranty :0)

Best value for the price
This is my second SeaGate NAS. First time with 220. The black armor software is great & I am happy with it. Multiple licenses with opt 4 more. Switched from raid1 to 0 for space. Took extra insurance just incase. Firewall adjustments to discover NAS. Windows 7 Starter on netbook wont play with it. Starter version?

Disappointing for a Seagate product
Seemed to install OK. Attached APC UPS, the only UPS they officially support in their firmware BTW, and a Freeagent External USB drive. After several days, unit would not respond in the morning when I came to work. Tried to reboot, power switch would not turn off. Had to unplug. After doing this 3 times, returned to Seagate. They said

great product if you really know computers
bought this for work recently and it works great. setup was a bit tricky but one call got everything working great. our less computer savvy employees had a little trouble at first but after using it for a few days they got the hang of it. the included software did not work with our most current operating system but it turns out that our most current operating system doesn't need the software to recognize the network drive.

Fail
Private shares won't work. Will not reconnect the shares after PC reboot. Works fine with public shares. Very frustrating. Sending it back. (this is the 3rd NAS I've tried that is supposed to support private shares that do not function in that capacity)Tried it on 2 simple networks, so I'm pretty sure its the NAS and not the networks.
