Nice

i bought this program thinking i wasn't gonna have any problems ripping my movie dvds, but i was wrong. When the movies were ripped, there were problems with the sounds being off from the movies. I couldn't figure out if there was a way to change a setting to fix the problem, but nothing. I'm disappointed, so i decided to download free ripping programs that work a lot better.

It's W7 - what do you expect?

Works fine out of the box.....you just have to tweak it to make it work the way you want. The reliability history shows W7 running at close to the top (10 on a 1 - 10 scale).

The Price is high but it's worth it

With this OS you get to take full advantage of ALL the RAM you can buy, I installed 16GB 4x4GB and it is blazing fast on CAD, the only thing that slows it down is me. I can't click fast enough for this computer to open applications or surf to Webpages (Then of course I have Fios and a 6-core processor)

Finally they get it right!!!

Windows 7 is by far, the fastest, most stable, most asthetically pleasing, operating system MS has made yet. Vista was nice visually although rather unstable and with some serious driver issues on commonly used peripherals like Printers, scanners, etc. As well as it's inability to interface with a local Domain name servers which is a necessity to businesses. Windows 7 makes a graphically intense experience without hindering your computer. Has some great innovative ideas like the aero snap feature awesome feature as well as the fan, the 3d Application selection which was also in vista but was rather slow and laggy. Home networking is now possible for the average Joe to accomplished. I am a seasoned network administrator technician so i reccomend windows 7 to all of my clients, especially ones not familiar or more timid when it comes to computers. Great buy

Nice but expensive

I am very pleased with this OS. I've been supporting and using MS products for about 15 years. Wasn't a big Win95, ME or Win2000 fan. Very fond of Win98R2 and WinXPSP3. I've been using the 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows 7 Ultimate for several months. It is very stable, less of a resource hog than Vista and seems very finished and clean. I have had mixed results running older programs in compatibility mode. $299 is really a little steep. I do think all versions of windows should run around $100. I used to run windows on all my home systems. I now use Ubuntu linux on several due to high cost of windows.

Pretty Solid

Best Windows version in a long time. Much better use of memory than Windows Vista. I haven't experienced any annoying stutters or snags where a program will just freeze up like on vista. Very stable. I've pushed it trying to open and close as many intensive processes as I could, and I couldn't get the software to hiccup. Definitely faster and more stable than Windows Vista.
