Works as advertised

Overall good product, well built and does the job exactly as advertised. My only complaint is the remote is not intuitive and you need the manual to decode the cryptic symbols.

For my Home theater

Just bought this so I could watch the CBC channel coming in from Windsor, I do have D TV but this channel is not available, Hook up was fairly easy, I have the projector on HDMI and put the audion on the Bose system, the only proble is I had to trick the Bos by using all of the components in order to get the sound going, all of my HDMI ports were taken. Yes I would recomend and would buy another one

What I Needed and More!

Bought this to use with my older HDTV (no tuner). Being able to turn my computer monitor into a TV is an added bonus. Very happy with the product and it's versatility.

Best $100 ever spent

This tuner does what no other external hdtv box can do for $100 and does it well with crystal clarity, the picture is amazing on my 27

No Component in, No HDMI encrypted in

The component connections on the box are OUTPUT only. The HDMI works with unencrypted supposedly. Tried to connect a cable box and it said (signal not supported). Features not tested: Over the air. Their older box 1680ex has more features, but doesnt handle HDMI. Was hoping this would solve the Component to HDMI issue, but doesnt.

Works Great !!!

I have a 51 inch widescreen hd ready monitor. This is replacing a sam sung that blacked out one day for no reason. This one compares in picture quality and features except the guide Wish the guide was more informative and all inclusive. Other than that I am not complaining especially at half the price of the other. I does get hot but does not affect performance. Works great and would buy again.

Good Product, May Not Work for You

Bought this box, and it worked as advertised. Good amount of outputs. Picked up over-the-air signals and displayed as it was supposed to. Unfortunately, it did not work with my TV (an older HD model.) The product only outputs video in 720P, which displays on my TV as a triple image. I played with every setting I could find for an hour, and found no way to switch the video output. In the end, I bought a competitor's model (which cost about 30% more), and that had video out that could be switched to 1080i.

just your basic digital tv tuner

I have an old Pioneer plasma TV with a media box. It does ok for picking up cable channels but no luck on the OTA digital. This solves the problem. During setup, it initially did not work. The light was on but nothing displayed. There is a button at the bottom of the remote which turned it on. I'm not sure which one as I started pushing everything to get it to work.

Don't bother

Great idea, poor performance. From the manuel to the set up and operation not a good product.

Perfect Solution

Bought this tuner so that i could convert Over the air TV to HDMI so i could plug it into my reciever for my hometheater system. this thing rocks.
