Value for the price...
I've been using PaperPort for years and have been very satisfied with it and have recently upgraded to Ver.14 and expect the same quality in the product. I gave a low Value rating for the shipping and not the product. As of now, I've been waiting 2 weeks for the order and still haven't received it. So, if you think that the price was good, but have to wait too long for it. There isn't a lot of value. I think that this will be the last time ordering from this company.

Good Price
I have used Paperport for years and been very happy with it. I have more than 100gb of data stored. This version is not compatible with Office 360 and that's a drag when trying to use the send to bar which is a very cool thing about Paperport. Can't beat the price however.

Works Fine for me
I got it on sale at a great price so my value score is 5 stars. At full retail it would have been a 3 star. I have been using PaperPort for a number of years. I decided to upgrade to Version 14 since I will be moving to Windows 8 soon. It installed fine on my Windows 7 Pro 64-bit system. Be sure to uninstall all previous versions completely first or you may have problems. Nuance has a download uninstaller that can help. Performance remains average with unexplained slow downs at times but overall meets my needs.

Not for Windows 8
Another 'Shelf-ware' product! Nuance claims Paperport 14 works with Windows 8, but it doesn't. Find something else until Nuance comes out with a product that works with your scanner and Windows 8. --- When the program opens, it says 'scanner not found.' An internet search shows this to be a common problem with PP 14 & Win 8.

Great for Grad Students
Though it is a little cumbersome out of the box, once set-up properly it is great for organizing and retrieving files. The ability to retrieve text from articles that were scanned as images is particularly useful. Make sure it is set up to only index folders that have the information you wish to work with and it works great!

Crapware! Don't Buy it.
It is very slow opening folders and starting the application. After a few days it places a watermark on the files that are scanned. What a piece of junk!

Bottom Line:
If you need an electronic file cabinet, the functionality to print, print to, edit, markup, distribute, your image,graphic, or PDF files, then: this is the Best price, value, & simple to use software out there. BTW, This is a Great Price.
