Best in Class

This is the best in class of the touch screen fan temp controllers on the market. Now ... that may not be saying much. There is a big improvement needed in this class. They are all cheaply made and all have their own unique issues. It has one issue that's common to the group - you can't see the readout unless you're directly in front of the unit. Those of us who have our case under the desk or even one or two feet to the left or right of center can't see the temps or rpm's clearly without centering yourself in front of the unit. Overall though ... it's cheap insurance for temp. issues. I lost my last PC due to temp issues that could have been avoided if I monitored them more closely.

Think Twice

Do you want show? Or do you want actual function? This thing looks good - rather hypnotic (which explains all these good reviews). Mine came with 4 pages missing from the manual which left me to have to guess at pertinent wiring and operation. My MoBo did NOT like relinquishing control of the (onboard) fan ports. Caused me great problems getting a proper air flow. I took it out of the first PC, then out of the 2nd PC because I was just uncomfortable with this units capabilities and did not want to lose a $500+ CPU. I am goiung to put it in a cheap gaming box I am making just for fun, where if it doesn't perform there, I won't be out too much $. AeroCool should have named this unit ''The Paris Hilton'' as it is nice to look at, but pretty much useles.

Nice addition as a showpiece

Not bad to hook up, good idea to label which sensors and fans are where when installing. Temp sensor tape is not sticky, needed to use electrical tape. Temp sensors don't seem to be extremely accurate, you get better readings from built in sensors. Nicer a few years back when you didn't have so many other ways to look at temp and fan speeds. Overall buy was worth the pizazz.

Work like a light show

Easy to install, everything work as how it should, but my only gripe on this is that, i had to replace the sticky with an electric tape to be placed, the rpm only max out to 1000, can't go faster, but the interface look awesome! is an eye catching light!.

Multi Fan Control

Product is everything it says it is and more. Extremely easy to install and has ample wiring to place sensors throughout your tower. Looks great, works great and priced great.

Really a good product

This unit displays fans speeds (to nearest 100 rpm) and temps. Additionally it allows you set an alarm temp independently for each fan and manually control fan speed (it does remember settings between boots). Construction seems little shaky but I haven't experienced any problems with wires pulling out or anything. The display looks awesome and is as vivid as shown in the images on the aerocool website. Installation is fairly simple (it comes with all the peripherals you need including USB header connector, SATA cable, screws, spare temp sensors, and audio connector). The toughest part of installation is cable management. There are a lot of wires to route and will challenge your abilities a bit. I used some flexible split wire tubing to keep things neat. Wires are long enough to reach for a mid tower case - not sure about full tower. BTW it accommodates your 4 pin cpu fan. Overall a great product - I would recommend it.

Expensive, but looks great

Been using this unit for about 6 months now without trouble. My only gripes are it's expensive and the temperature leads can't give you an on-die temp so for most listed temps you have to add 10-15C. Alarm works well (and in my case often) and adjustments are easy. Touch screen works well and the best part is you can use it to control additional fans that the board doesn't have enough plugs to control. LCD can be hard to read at some angles but the look on peoples faces when they see it is worth the cost. Didn't have any of the connection issues others had but there is a lot of hot glue keeping it all together.

Nice Controller,but has QC issues

The controller is nice eye candy, but the QC is another story. The heat sensors are glued onto the connector and that would be OK if the connectors were inserted all the way, so you need to remove the glue, clean the connectors then re-connect them. The same is true for the power connector. Once you fix the items mentioned, the controller works fine. Also, you need to know that the maximum wattage per channel is 6 watts, so if you connect a high wattage fan to it, it is the same as overloading and AC outlet and the wires may melt as some people have stated in reviews on other sites. Know what you are doing. The manual is not well written. You cannot place the heat probes on top of a chip and then place the heatsink on top of it as it will short out the controller and harm it. However, I would recommend this controller to friends.

Looks good but not very functional

None of the plugs match up with my new case. Works like junk. Looks good though. Was short one usb wire. Looks great and thats about it. Spend money on different product.
