I have a computer repair store in Jacksonville FL.. I need many internet line for my customer's computers. I have so happy with this item.

Pretty good little switch

Been using this switch with my DSL modem to feed to my family's main desktop, my 2 wireless routers, and a cable to my bedroom that links to another one of these for my desktop, laptop, and xbox 360. Only downside is that if there are more than 2 devices connected, it has an annoying high-pitched squeal, which annoys me at night. Other than that, its a pretty good switch and i highly recommend it.

Works as advertised - Easy Installation

Set up was a breeze - no hiccups and no issues. Product worked as advertised. I am a novice in network configuration so the ease of this product was prefect.

Wired it up, plugged it in & it works.

I have two of these switches in a little LAN. I took them out of the box, plugged the Ethernet cables in, plugged in the power adapter, and they work. One's been running for many months; the other for a few weeks. No problems. And they were cheap. What else can I say about a couple of switches?

Does what it says

Most Linksys products I've purchased work as described and this is no exception. Out of the box and into the stack and I don't have to worry about it. If 100mbs is fast enough for your SOHO network, this package is hard to beat. About the port 8 thing: most small switches behave this way. It's a switch, it works great, no problems. Replacing a Linksys switch that had a power adaptor failure.

Good value, reasonable quality

We received our switch super fast, thanks to this company's incredibly fast order fulfillment. The switch itself is a snap to install. One of the 8 ports appears to be dead on our unit, however, which is why I rated the quality only 3 stars.

Can't even tell it's on!

I love this item! I purchased it to replace a noisy old 24-port switch in the office of which only 5 ports were ever used. XP picked it right up, I plugged it in and voila! The switch is completely silent and sits about a foot away from me and what a HUGE space saver this thing is. If you're going to go with a switch, Cisco- Linksys is highly recommended. I may even buy one for home.
