Best Laptop Ive had yet!

Right out of the box this unit has done everything advertised and I expected out of a gaming laptop. I can't wait to see what ASUS will be coming out with next!

Exceptionally Quite and Fast

Once the slow to normal hard drive restricted boot-up has finished, this laptop runs smoothly and fast. It's also very quite. So quite in fact that if you aren't looking at it you will not know it is on! Battery life isn't bad either considering it has a 6 cell versus the higher capacity 8 cell battery normally included in a performance pc.

really nice

The specs were technically better than my desktop but I still wasn't expecting it to out do it considering its a laptop. Still it did.

Asus

Let me start by saying the Computer look nice, it's powerful, and has a nice fell to it, but within 10 day's the computer shut off while I was playing a game, I called Asus and tolled them they said it is the Motherboard that was failing, which I understand these kind of thing happen, What I don't understand is why they don't have a computer shot contracted locally to fix it, so I have to send it to California, and be without my computer for 2 or more weeks. I will never by Asus again, and I suggest you don't either.

Great value and great performance

I'm writing this review from this system. It works great! Some people have said negative things about the sound system, but it is great. The only thing is Windows 8 isn't that great, but you can install a program called Classic Shell (Google it) that will give you the Start button in the Desktop in Win 8, and problem solved. I'm really glad I bought this system.

Great laptop for the money

Pros: Very fast, quiet, stays cool, beautiful display, 2nd HDD bay, sturdy build quality. Cons: Speakers are terrible, comes with Win8 (easily fixed). All in all I am very happy with my purchase. Throw in a SSD and you have a great laptop that cant be touched without spending several hundred more.

Mobile Powerhouse

This computer is awesome, I'm coming from my old custom build with a core2 quad, ddr2 ram and a gtx 460. It performs BETTER than my build ever could. I did drop in an Intel 180 gig SSD for better boot times (about 8-10 seconds) and better load times in BF3, which it is fully capable of running maxed. The thing offers an awful lot of nice features for this price. You will be hard pressed to find a 3 gig card, 1080p and BD-ROM in this price range from ANYBODY else. I love my new toy! Thanks ASUS!

great laptop

I use the laptop for gaming. I also threw in a ssd and it loads in about 10 seconds. The hardware and features are top of the line and it stays cool during prolonged gaming. My only complaint is the horrible windows 8. If you thought Vista was bad wait until you try this.

Beyond Expectations

I have been using this laptop as a gaming computer and it has performed well beyond my expectations for the price. The fans in the back keep the unit very cool, even when I play my games on their highest settings. Windows 8 is a bust, I would recomend taking this back to 7 but that has no bearing on the power of this machine. Well worth the money!! You are getting more than you should for the price.
