Windows 8 is faster than 7, and seems stable
I took a chance on Windows 8 versus 7, I built a new super system and decided to go with Windows 8. After using it for a few days I was ready to go back to 7, but my friends said to give it a chance. I don't like all the Icon's on the main screen, hell I have enough of those on my Smart phone to deal with, but with a slight modification to emulate 7 I guess I can live with it. It's much faster than 7, both logging in and logging out, Overall I give it 10 out of 10. I'm 71 years old, so I guess I'm old school.

Should have bought Windows 7
Windows 8 was selling for the same price, so i figured mine as well get the latest and greatest. Not fun to use. Yes it is flashy with a new features, but my personal preference would have been to stay with Windows 7. Do the research. Once you open the box you own it! Choose wisely

Windows 8
I guess I am overly picky but this OS seems to be Microsoft's effort to finally pull it together. It's a bit too sensitive on the left and right sides for my liking if I am using the touchpad on my laptop but, over all, I'm not wanting to throw my laptop out because of it and I'm not yet sorry I upgraded either.

Great OS
This OS is a real departure from the Win 7 and before look. I highly recommend downloading a free shell program to get it to behave like the Windows we are all used to. Otherwise it is a good program.

Coming up from a win7(64) and Vista(64) was a little different but really like it. Very Very fast install, what a dream.

Windows 8
Went from Windows 7 to 8 for home use. Upload was surprisingly easy. Old files were saved. Still learning features of Windows 8. Only issues I might have will be working with Windows 8 but like it so far.

Good Deal at Tiger
Bouoght a pair of these at $80 a piece. Best Deal in Town. Installed easily. However, still prefer windows 7.

I think its GREAT!
Upped from 32bit XP Pro. I really like the new interface. Easy to navigate and the system pops up once in a while to recommend system performance boosts on its own. Just a few clicks, only sometimes requires restart and WOW! Runs even faster. Its amazing to me just how many programs attach themselves to startup. Using so many system resources. Win8 pops up a screen to show you all programs in this group, tells you which ones have the greatest impact on startup speed and gives you an option to enable or disable them. You can run the ones you want, when you want, just buy clicking their icon or app tab on the start page. I highly recommend this upgrade. I have had no problems and no crashes as of yet. I am still learning on it but it is getting easier and easier.
