Fresh and surprising. This 21:9 ultrabook delivers
When you first see the Toshiba U845W's unusually wide screen and stubby appearance, it can be a turn off, simply due to its newness. Don't let appearances fool you! This is one smartly designed and peppy machine! The 21:9 ratio screen is the main draw, and it has nice viewing angles, gets very bright and colorful, and is great for multitasking. Being able to use multiple windows at the same time without fretting over space is awesome for productivity, coding, and any number of practical applications--I enjoy watching the morning news video stream next to whatever I'm working on, personally. Performance is quite good, allowing me to have Office documents, multiple Adobe suite products, and many browser tabs open simultaneously with not even a hiccup. The speakers can be loud and have excellent range, and the keyboard and trackpad are well spaced and sized, refreshing to use. The stylish casing also looks very cool in person.
