Amazing Value!

This set of speakers from Sony is such an amazing value for people on a budget! The sound frequency and the clarity from these are something you'd expect from a set costing MUCH more. These SSF5000's get LOUD too. I'm using a pair of these for my fronts, and another pair for the rears. Paired with a Sony 5000 series Center channel they fill the room with bright, warm sounds that completely envelop the listener. I would highly recommend these great sounding speakers to anyone. You Get What You Pay For (maybe less)

I recently purchased a pair of these speakers to use as stereo speakers for my tv via receiver. I have never purchased speakers before, having always been gifted older speakers from older relatives in the past, and unfortunately the sounds from these speakers is thinner (less bass, less clarity in mid and high range) than any other pair of floor standing speakers I have used. Also, the box arrived in such bad condition that the UPS man had me open it to check the contents before I took delivery. I didn't notice at first, but the frame of the left speaker cover was badly damaged, and looks kind of ridiculous as the top hangs limply. I considered returning the product but decided when dealing with objects of this size and weight not to bother for a cosmetic defect. (Especially considering I had already thrown out the box, and all the Styrofoam inserts had been demolished in transit.)

Very pleased with the sound, fit, finish and general appearance of these speakers. They sound just as good as my JBLs that I paid much more for. The excellent reviews from other customers were the deciding point. Appreciate everyone elses candid input.

Absolutely Fantastic Sounding

I have these speakers in my living room for the purpose of playing my classical music. Their performance is way beyond what I expected. They sound every bit as good as my thousand dollar four year old speakers on my home theater setup. They are well designed and look great in with the contemporary living room setup.

I got these speakers just to have in my office. They are a great value an great quality. the highs are awesome an the subs give you a nice clear bass. For the price they cant be beat. Thy aren't for parties but if your just listening to music while cleaning these are great.
