Chariots is a family friendly racing game with a little bit of a role playing twist set in ancient Rome on the island of Cyprus. Players can race on foot, on horseback or in a chariot. Horses and chariots must be won at the races, along with other items which can be used in quests to obtain special mounts and special vehicles. There is a scripture scroll quest also to obtain a special mount. There are 21 races which includes a variety of race types, from traditional land based races, to hippodromes, to labyrinths & mazes, to marathons. There are a total of 17 mounts to be earned and 15 types of vehicles to be earned. One of the quest chariots is available in 12 different colors! Chariots was produced by an entirely volunteer team collaborating over the internet from around the world. Many said it could not be done, but we are accomplishing the impossible, because “With God, all things are possible”. We hope you enjoy the races! Chariots is the first title to be released by HBTZ, and was first available in July 2008. The flagship project of HBTZ is an online Christian game called Visions, a Massively Multiplayer Online Game set in the 2nd century holy land. Well aware that Christian content is considered high risk, and that MMOG's are monumentally difficult to make, the HBTZ staff is boldly marching forward into territory where other companies fear to tread. Great game for families!
Chariots is an awesome family friendly game to play together, or by yourself! Boys love the races, girls love the horses, and parents love that there is no offensive content in the game. It can be played both as single player and multiplayer with up to 14 racers on either a LAN or hosted internet connection. This allows families and friends to play together, no matter where they are located. Chariots is a challenging racing game where players have to win their prizes at the races to earn upgrades. The player starts out as a foot racer, and has to win a horse from one of the races. There are many different colors of horses to win, a different horse breed from every city. And there are different chariots, and even a couple of non-chariot vehicles to win also. Amazingly, this game was made by an entirely volunteer team! They did a great job producing a family friendly game that is fun for everyone, especially considering they did this with no funding! Check it out!
