I only buy Toshiba, and this model is the King. The screen is insanely large, the keyboard is glossy hot and it runs quietly. I have never bought a refurbished system, so this has become the standard. I am completely happy with my purchase, and it arrived as advertised. If I didn't know its was refurbished, I wouldn't have guessed. There were very minor cosmetic blemishes on the shell, but that's to be expected.
I have nothing to complain about. As far as I'm concerned, I got a $500.00 discount on a mad laptop. A refurbished system from TD is an excellent alternative to spending much more for the same performance. |

I bought this for my wife and after 3 weeks, she's still loving it! After burning the 5 restore DVDs, I upgraded it to Win 7 64-bit with no issues. It is far more powerful than her previous one and yet runs very cool and quiet - she hasn't needed to put anything between her lap and the laptop. The sound is incredible for a laptop, and the screen is big and bright. Only problem we've had with it was the battery was DOA. I went through Toshiba support to get it replaced, and it took a few calls and a few days before they updated their systems to show that this unit was a refurb and covered under warranty. Once they got their end in order I had a new battery delivered at no charge in just over a day. |

I got this machine for the large screen and it is great. A little heavy but not bad. I loaded Win7 on it and Toshiba has drivers already for everything. The only downside is the amount of video memory should be more and I can't upgrade what is in there. |

The Qosmio G55 is my first experience in a desktop replacement and it really delivers the goods on all fronts. The screen clarity is excellent and that's great because I'll be staring at it alot since i'm a college student. Plenty of processing power, Hard Drive space, and very decent graphics. (not cutting edge, but good enough to run what I need to throw at it and then some) The only complaint I have about the laptop is that since it is a re-certified system from toshiba, it does not qualify for the free windows 7 upgrade. Don't see how microsoft or toshiba could disqualify a system that has been sold more than once, for an OS upgrade. Hasn't it made enough to qualify? Besides that, the system is top notch in every aspect. |
