My 3rd Toshiba Satellite. Great computer.

I have had great experiences with Toshiba laptops before. So, when my computer was stolen, I chose this model. Exactly the features I needed for the price and I have been very pleased. I much prefer Windows 7 over 8, so I did not upgrade, (just a personal preference) I really would recommend this computer to anyone who is looking for the ''affordable'' lightweight laptop.

Great deal for the money.

I had to return mine as the USB 2.0 kept dropping in and out. If i could get another I'd grab it. I can't find one in this level, quad core close to 2.0 with a decent graphics engine (beats intel on board all to heck). Did what i wanted, let me edit my raw, 100MB, photos in CS 6 and ACDsee Pro with no slow downs and waits, plays older games, had usb 3.0 for my external for under $500.00. Basically to replace it with something that will do it I'm looking at $700.00, though for an upgraded notebook. I just needed this though for under $500.00 it was a great deal, wish i could get another.

disappointed

This computer is not the best in speed. It takes a long to time to connect to the internet and then to navatate the sites it takes forever. I don't think I would buy a Toshbia again.

Deal

The laptop is a lower end but works well for internet and data. This is not a gaming laptop by any means. It runs fast and hard drive is big enough. The top case of the laptop is made of cheap plastic and will break easily if dropped. Perfect for school or office.

Exactly what I wanted

I am a graduate student and needed a lightweight laptop to travel from home to campus with fast connection speed and all the basic features. This was the most economical available and I have not been disappointed. I can write papers, download articles, prepare presentations, and meet online. I'm not into gaming so I can't speak to that. Toshiba was recommended to me for quality, and I have no complaints.

Great Computer, bad audio

The moment I purchased this computer I installed an 256 GB SSD as well as Windows 8. The computer is very fast. It can easily handle 1080p HD video. The only downside is the speakers have almost no bass and sound very ''tinny''. I have had no problems with the webcam. The ''Toshiba Upgrade Assistant Software'' made upgrading to Windows 8 very easy because it downloaded all of the new drivers automatically. All in all a great computer!

Nice laptop, but quality problems

Purchased this laptop for my wife for Christmas. Satisfied with the features, and had no problems finding drivers on Toshiba's website. However, the webcam wouldn't work, and nothing seems to work. We've had it longer than 2 weeks, so we unfortunately can't return it.

very disappointing

very slow if and when it works. Takes an unusually long time to boot up. Usually won't shut down on its own. Browsers won't always open and when they do, they 'won't respond'. Task manager won't open. I took it out of the box last evening. I just spent a half hour trying to open a browser to check my email. No luck with that. I will seek permission to return this product.

Good performance good price

This laptop runs really well and it is really efficient. Its perfect for everyday use and then some. It runs games such as Dirt3, Homefront and Black ops very good some even at high resolution. This is my fourth satellite and I am very pleased.

awesome laptop for the price

this laptop is great,good speed. nice features and specs.i read a review that said you cant find drivers for this latop and such and tehnical assistance is horrible. However i realoed the latop with windows 7 ultimate and found all the necessary drivers on the toshiba wwebsite within a matter of minutes
