Works good
I've used this on other camputers. I have not used this one because I was short on PCI slots so I went with a PCI express card.

Only compatible with Pentium 4
I bought an i5, a new MOBO and this card to be able to read my old IDE units. At Boot it only hangs in there, doesn't even let me get into the BIOS, I get a blakc screen that flickers a bit and that's all. The little instruction piece of paper says

PCI Expn Card
It wasn't the floppy disk controller card I wanted, but I installed it anyway. Luckily, it has RAID function that my Gigabyte board didn't have, so I'm good.

System won't boot, PCI bus hung
This card hangs the brand new Intel motherboard I just bought, not even allowing you to get to the BIOS screen. Returning. This card is apparently not 100% PCI bus compliant. I've seen this on other cards on cPCI systems where the card does not respond correctly to bus inquiries on some processors but does work on others. I do NOT recommend you even try this card.

Does NOT work
Installed on a new win 7 64 and system will not boot with card installed. Cannot get an opportunity to install the drivers, Save your money. I ended up buying a single PATA to SATA adapter that worked perfectly, albiet it will only connect to one drive.

So Far So Good
I've only had for about 3 weeks with no issues. The one problem I ran in to was installing it. The instructions said to click on setup on the disk, there is no such file. After installing, boot up and log into windows. Click on Control Panel, device manager and click on the yellow exclamation point in storage controllers. Then click drivers and install driver from disk. No issues other than bogus instructions.

Yes and No
I had two drives cannabalized from my old computer that I wanted to put into my new one using this card. Both drives were recognized by the BIOS but only one showed up in Windows 7. I tried just connecting the other by itself but it still wouldn't show up. I was able to plug it into another computer to access its data.

Good but not how i thought it would work...
When i got this product i installed the drivers that came with it. The install CD that it came with does not use a basic installer. you have to enter device manager and right click on the device and search in the CD for the drivers. After doing so and installing everything i need for it to work the things i have plugged in to it will not show up as even being used... i have not yet figured out a solution for this problem. But once i do this product will be well worth the money i paid for it.
