Not Rogers Compatable

Easy to hookup so not the problem. Rogers does NOT support this modem for some reason yet other resellers on their network will (teksavvy for example). Spent an hour with Rogers today and that is what is comes down to, they do not support this modem.

Dismal Product Availablity

Excellent Modem a real winner, now if they only stocked them on shelves in the stores that would be great. TekSavvy rocks!

installed easily. hardest part was calling my internet provider so that they would recognize it.

Great Product

Bought for TekSavvy when I transferred from Rogers. Great speed. Even better than I pay for. Tell me how TekSavvy can change less and get triple the speed and 5 times the limits for less money and they use Rogers lines? I have had this 4 months and no dropped connections or any problems. I use it with a DLink router as I have two computers.

Terrible

Does not get registered with various service providers - they say the serial number cannot be registered and is incorrect. Stay away if you are not looking to waste hours on the phone with customer service trying to get this modem registered.

purchased only - update as needed

This comment for is for North TX Time Warner customers who have been contemplating replacing their old Motorola SB5101 (mine has been dropping while streaming content) or other. TW has a list of authorized models they support, but it is ancient. I called tech support and asked specifically about this model (it has best ratings I've seen from my own search), but they would not say yes or no, rather buy it and try it. I'll update this after I install.

Great Modem, works with Teksavvy in Markham, ON!

I've had this modem since June 2011. Everything is GREAT! I've waited patiently for Teksavvy to provide service in my area. I was sick and tired with Rogers' rates. Teksavvy require you to own or buy a modem from their suggested list. I've done research and decided to buy from here as I've received great service from this company. Also, Teksavvy ran out of this model and had other modems I can buy (get $20 discount, if you buy from them) that I didn't like. Everything went smoothly when modem arrived. I plugged everything in without any manual and connected my wireless router. I had the same settings from before. I've noticed a great deal in speed. No hiccups, so far!

Before I buy a modem, I am currently on satellite internet. I would like to know if this modem will work on Xplornet?

So far, so good. Cox Cable rep recommended this modem when my internet went to premium at download 25. Price lowered to $99, still pricey. So far no problems in 5 days. Simple to install, lots of vents to keep it cool, easy to see lights, attractive case. It will considerably improve my online teaching and communications.
