Better than the one it replaced. Still a bit quirky about the disk media it will accept. It really prefers the higher priced RW disks which are hard to find locally. Tuner works fine for my needs. Remote is hard to read and setup is not especially intuitive. Still a great buy at less than $200. for a DVD rec with tuner. bob

I like the unit so far. It provides a good picture on regular DVD's. When you record on SP or better, it provides near perfect picture. At LP and EP, the picture gets noticeably fuzzy. Still fine for watching a footbal game. The only beef I have it it takes a while to load any disk. Normally, I expect 10 to 20 seconds to load, but on this device, it can be more like 30 or more seconds.

Great product. This unit eliminates the need for a digial tuner box. It delivers a flawless picture and records easy. I use long play and still get a good picture on recordings upm to 4 hours. I bought memorex dvd-rw and they work great on this machine. You must finalize to play on other machines but you can reformat and use again. As others have said , the remote is hard to read and cold be improvedwith larger easy to read buttons.

In fairness to CompUSA, I did not buy it from them but am looking for a replacement for this model I bought elsewhere. The tuner could only pull in 3 off the air HD channels even though my TV pulls in 30 HD channels. Supplier admitted tuner is weak! Useless.
