Very Pleased, One Caveat
Insertion was routine. The driver selection was not automatic, it had to be chosen from the CD provided and there were enough other products on the CD that it was less than obvious which file to choose; that aspect could be improved. Function is fine.

Good product
Like other reviewers, had to coddle the card during installation to fit PCIe slot. During driver installation, used Vista driver on W7 OS; thankful it was not an issue. W7 allowed me to adjust default LPT3 setting to LPT1.

solved my problem well
Needed to run an old epson pin feed printer from my new Dell Win 7 64 bit. Works great, easy to install, but took some time to figure out which driver to load from the supplied CD.

Works fine but hard to install
I had a hard time getting the card into my Dell Inspiron 620. With the back panel (the one with the parallel port) where it needed to be, the PCIe plug didn't quite go into the slot. Finally managed to get it in by some careful angling, but it seems like it should not be so hard. The only other problem was that the manual did not include instructions for software installation under Windows 7 - stopped at Vista. After a little fudging around I managed to get the driver installed from the disk. The board itself installed at LPT3, which seemed a little odd, but I was able to change it to LPT1, although with a very non-standard memory address. How many years has Win7 been out?

Doesn't fit
To be fair, I'm not sure if the problem was this card or the motherboard on my Lenovo PC. Regardless, the card would not fit. The PC case seemed to be too close to the motherboard and I didn't feel like I should have to alter my PC to make it fit. It'll fit if I take the motherboard out so that there's nothing in the way. Very odd...

Good Hardware
Bought it to use my Panasonic dot matrix printer on my new 64-bit Lenovo box. In Linux, the system saw it right away, but I had issues getting it to play nice with the CUPS server. The problem is partially due to loading kernal modules, not the card. The enclosed drivers don't seem to work well under Windows 7, and Windows never saw the printer, although it saw the port at LPT1.

Worked Great !
I recently purchased a new 64bit HP Computer with Windows 7 and needed a parallel adapter card so I could continue to use my 14 year old HP Laserjet L4 printer. I installed the adapter card and had to go to the HP website to get the updated printer driver for Windows 7. After installing the updated printer driver the HP Laserjet printer worked like a charm. Thank you for making this adapter available at an affordable price.

Bad junk
DOA. Spend a few more dollars to buy new devices instead of using adapters for old device.

As expected
I bought it to hook an old printer (HP 1100 laser) that was parallel port hook up. My new computer (HP 500y) didn't have anything but USBs so... The card works as expected but for what it is, it seems a bit pricy.
