I cannot stress how awful this is
Maybe I got a defect. That's entirely possible. The installation into my motherboard was very simple. The installation of the drivers was the worst. First I tried the CD, then the StarTech website (I didn't want to go through the trouble of even capitalizing StarTech because I am so mad at them because of this product right now), then the C-Media website. Nothing worked. It sounds like a broken alien record player of some sort. There is a constant stutter and you can hear literally no other sound. It almost scared the pants off me the first time, it was so loud. This card won't even recognize sound being sent to it. This is ridiculous. I will never buy a StarTech product ever again, and neither should you.

Decent quality, for a while...
i bought this about 1 and a half months ago, it worked great for about 2-3 week then it stopped having some of the functions, and then my computer crashed and it said it was caused by the card, so i got a new one from customer service, and the same thing has happened, so im returning for a refund to get a better one.
