I recently took my new camera to Florida. I did some shallow diving and tried it out. The pictures camoe out beautiful. all perfect and clear. the case is water tight, you can view the screen under water with ease, and you see what you are trying to capture in your picture before you snap it. Carry extrap batteries, you will have so much fun using your camera you will forget to keep track of the battery charge. Rechargable batteries work best. |

Some photos were distorted or elongated. The viewing screen in the back truns odd colors and is hard to see when in open daylight. It is normal when inside. |

We bought the camera to have some fun at the beach but since you can't see anything in the LCD monitor in bright sunlight you can't frame any pictures you just have to point the camera and hope for the best.
Our seal also failed the first week in use. water got in the housing and ruined the camera and all pictures but the site was great about replacing it and the SD card that also got ruined.
All in all it's ok. it beats the disposable underwater cameras because it has a flash but it is nothing special |

Impulse purchase of the camera to use during a long distance sailing race. Needed it to be waterproof, compact and easy to use. My main goal was to sail, not taking pictures. First thing that happened was that the strap eyelet broke off camera. Ended up attaching strap to the tripod mount instead, or I would definitely have lost it overboard. The lens is hard to clean because of being so deep into housing. This caused a few shots with strange lens effects. Only cure was a dry cloth in the pocket, not easy to keep while racing. I didn't know it had video when purchased, fun, but lacks sound. I'm happy with camera, but I will probably give it away and spend a bit more once I find something I like better. |

NUMBER OF IMAGES STORED ON A DIGITAL CARD
The number of
pictures you can take varies depending on your camera model and complexity
of the scene being photographed. To calculate how many pictures your card
can hold, divide the capacity of your card by the average file size of your
images. For example, if you have a 256MB card, and use a camera that has an
average file size of 1.2MB, then 256 divided by 1.2 gives you approximately
213 pictures. As you change modes on your camera, the number of images will
increase if you shoot in a lower resolution mode, and decrease if you shoot
in a higher resolution mode. |
