Works the way they said it would.
I purchased this for my wife for Christmas 2010. It works fine. We made sure that the outlet upstairs was on the same circuit as the outlet downstairs. Once I was sure they were the same, I ordered it. We set it up and it works fine. The only wires are the power chords. Not perfect but I'm to lazy to put in a real intercom system so this will do.

disappointed
The product works when plugged in but there is no volume to it. You cannot hear the call if there is any back round noise. When on auto talk it mutes the other unit and you cannot hear calls or voice. I bought it for my garage and house communication but unless you are standing next to it you cannot hear it, so I would not recommend it for this.
