Needs better Description of capabilities
I am sure this works great the way it is designed. However, when the tech that was helping me find this cable said this would be better and more up to date I guess I should have been more specific. Yes it will transfere, but didn't specify that it could NOT go from XP to XP which is what I was looking for with the serial cable. So now I have a cable that I may use in the future if I ever and I mean EVER feel comfortable with Vista or Seven.

Had To Be Returned
This is the worst product I have ever purchased on line. I worked for almost a day attempting to transfer files. I would get a message telling me to use the other computer due to a software update, and yet I didn't need any updates.

Worked great
Worked as advertised. Very pleased, transfered everything I wanted from XP to Win 7. Didn't have any problems. The instructions are really very poor but just plug cable into the two computers you want to transfer settings, programs, documents, music, and pictures and it does it. Worth the money to me.

Hardware: Great! - Software: Not so much.
Software leaves a lot to be desired. Could not transfer files if they were in a folder that the software deemed unaccessable! This made a lot of my important data files unaccessable!

No choice of files to transfer
Works well and does transfer some of your files but does not give you the option to choose any files to transfer. I had to use Network Magic to transfer the remainder of my files which were the most important. Ultra didn't think this one all the way through and I was disappointed.
