When ordering this printer I was assured this was windows 7 ready. It was not! The software that came with it verifed this. I had to spend alot time with the HP tech staff to download the right drivers to make it work with my laptop. This is a all in one printer however the scanner does not work and HP said the scanner driver would not be available until early next year. Dissapointed with HP for false info.

Not the best communicator. Very difficult for the average individual to set up the wireless system. No problem when using direct wired connection, but when you need to setup 3 or 4 computers on one wireless connection, it sucks!
Print wise it is excellent, nice clear graphics. Paper tray far too small, should be larger. Paper feed works ok, but not the quality of HP's better printers. Clunly in nature overall and all it is good for is a second printer. Can not manage a lot of printing tasks at one time due to small paper tray reserve. Ink carts are the same as used in 7300 series. Approximately $10-15 for carts on line.

For the price this machine is ....ok.(just).
The drivers were not upto date, and I need to operate this unit from 3 decktops and two laptops at variuos times. I was forced to go to online support in order to get the indepth instructions as to loading drivers onto 3 of my systems(2 desktops,1 laptop.) Calling service tech. caused more problems than on-line. First was understanding their...english...If you are new to computing leave this one alone.
