Have just tried my first "Mirror Image" recovery and it failed, and completely messed up my C: drive. Have had to completely clean off everything on my computer and start from fresh. For me this software is useless |

Acronis True Image is today's industry leader in drive imaging. It's one of the easier products to use while not making any sacrifices with comprehensiveness of functionality. It's okay if you don't have an external hard drive, or know how to partition your fixed drive; True Image can do it for you.
If you do have an external drive, or know how to setup partitions, then True Image can do even more for you. It can create multiple backup files of a size you specify, for subsequent spanning across multiple media like DVDs. It's always nice to have an external backup for that fateful day when your hard drive finally fails, as all hard drives do. Having one can save the hair in your scalp.
Acronis also seems to be one of the best at preserving the file system and MBR. This can make restoration a lot easier and faster if your hard drive gets hit with an MBR virus and has to be wiped! |

Installed this on a new i7 920 and the boot/recovery CD couldn't see any internal hard drives. Of course that makes it totally worthless. Their tech support took literally 3 weeks to respond to my problem. They admitted their program didn't work on newer PCs like mine but had no fix. PC magazine had similar problems when they tested it. Buy something else. |

I used this to back up one volume and it created 5 files. I've sent four emails to the company asking several questions and have never received a single response. I purchased this to replace my NT Backup that does not work now, and I don't believe this does either. They offer no support, and I think I have a worthless product. |
