GPS Newbie
I bought the above unit refurbished because of the outstanding value of the unit. Being my first GPS unit, it was alittle challenging to learn how to operate and use all the bells and whistles. I had some problems setting up and storing destination as Favorites. A quick call the the Support Center corrected my cockpit error. I also bought the bean bag dash mounting option as I was forwarned about the problems with the windshield mounting system. A very wise decision as I can place the unit on the floor when parking the vechile to get it out of sight. One option I would like to see is the stree call out function sounding out when it is free wheeling (without setting a destination). so far I am very pleased with this advanced piece of modern day electronics.

Updates cost more than the unit, but works great
This GPS works great, but it cost more for the map updates than the unit. also, after the updates it's now out of memory, I got an error when asked if I wanted delete some voices to gain memory. but it works great

Great deal. works fine
This works the same as the ten year old Tom Tom One that I have. Great deal, I am giving the new one to my wife. No update was available so the maps are 18 months out of date. Not a problem. Things don't change very often here.

GREAT............ but ?
Love this GPS, especially at this price !! Not happy about standby battery life. After a full charge, the battery goes dead after about 1 week of non use. Not sure if this is normal or a defect. This means effectively that it only works when plugged in.

Great Deal
I don't know how one couldn't rate this a 5 in all catagories. For the money, you get a brand name GPS, with all the trimmings. So what it does not have blue tooth. My last one did, what a waste of dough! Buy this Buy thin Buy This.

Good product, Great deal
I have been using one of these for 3 years without problems. Better at finding Points of Interest than the Garmin. The refurbs do not come with the ability to get up-to-date maps, but I contacted TomTom via the web and got the latest map free by sending them a copy of the proof of purchase and the serial number. With this purchase, I got 4 for Christmas gifts.

Value, Value, Value
Pros: Better than any no-name device you will find. Good interface, easy to use. Decent battery, but keep it plugged in. Big screen Speed, Direction Very accurate Windows Software has many customization options Cons: Refurbished don't have the retail 1 time map upgrade. This can be expensive if you live in a recently developing area. This is my second 4.3 TomTom, giving as a Gift. My first one has been in use for over a year without a single issue.
