Low cost but some catches
It's hard to put a finger on but the quality of this v551 seems lower than another v551 I own. The battery and charger are not OEM. One annoyance is that several web session profiles are locked to Russian carriers, leaving only one profile open to define your own.

VERY POOR BATTERY LIFE
Even with bluetooth turned off battery life on standby is only 17 hours. The telephone number given for returns and repairs is not available in my area. Unsatisfactory product and service.

Good Value
I was impressed with the condition of the product,for a refurbished unit, it looked almost new.I put my sim card in and it worked fine.I wish a manual came with the unit but it is available online. I personally think its a good value for the money. If you are looking for the latest cell phone,this may not be it, but for the price its in my opinion worth it!

Don't waste your time
Cheap construction, the button that determines weather of not the unit is closed is already giving me grief and I've had the phone for less than a week.

Ehhhh
Didn't want a Smart phone. Wanted an unlocked phone. Not much to choose from. Battery has about 72 hours of standby not the 254 advertised. Phone keeps shutting off while making calls. Got what I paid for.

Quality Referbished?
Out of box, in with battery and SIM card. Charged it up. Everything seemed to work just fine. UNTIL I tried to use it. It will NOT received a signal, no matter what I try to do with it. Can't make or receive phone calls without a signal!

Perfect for need
Got this for a student to take to Costa Rica for a couple of months of school. Bought sim card at airport and phone worked perfectly. Very valuable, too, because of last minute schedule glitch. Works great and I'm glad we got it. Good value.

Is this phone still around?
I have used this model of phone almost 20 years. Now it is still around. Very surprising. While it is a good product when I bought it new but not sure about the refurbished model.
