This printer is excellent. I had some trouble setting it up in Windows XP, but a laptop running Vista installed it automatically. I had to print a configuration page to get the IP address and create a new port with that address to make it work with my older computers as a network printer. The print quality is unsurpassed and the color copies are actually better than the originals. |

The machine is an excellent machine and performs flawlessly. However, if you do a lot of printing you will use up the toners quyicky. Make sure you lay in a supply of the toners. I could not find the toners locally. |

The price is good and overall performance is as can be expected from konica minolta products.the main quirk is the toner cartridges are pricey and not very economical to print large quantity's of color documents.toners are also hard to find! |

Pretty good machine for the price however it has a few quirks and lacks Linux drivers.
The fax from desktop software is buggy and corrupts the address book often. It can cause the fax feature to fail to work. They are aware of the problem and waiting on Japan for update. You may find you have to manually input fax numbers each time you send a fax.
Fax reporting is a toner-waster and prints a copy of the first page on each report in addition to the report. There is no way to turn it off though you can turn off printed reports entirely. Get used to total silence when a fax is sent from your desk top. I am used to hearing the dialing take place as it does when you fax directly from the machine.
Print quality is pretty good. I am happy. Toners not cheap so you may find this is a throw-away machine as a new set of normal toners will cost more than the price of a new printer.
Network setup is tricky at first but ok once you know the tricks. Phone support is very good ! |
