Great buy
I wanted to have a Win XP Pro OS and a solid machine to run it and received both. While a manual would be helpful I didn't really mind knowing that it was refurbished and that I could retrieve a pdf version online. Fast and responsive thus far so no complaints. I did have a little hiccup getting it to recognize my WPA2 wi-fi system but the refurbishers support people worked to address that. Since I am transfering a half dozen programs that I am licensed for that run on XP this was a bargain.

I wish it came with a manual
We've been using another brand of computer that starts with D for a long time. I wanted to try a different brand to see if any were better. I HATE Win 7 so I'm trying to buy refurbished XP laptops. This is a good computer. It has plenty of ram and hard drive. It is responsive and works well. I wish it had more usb ports, it has 3 I wish it had a manual, it took me a week to find the off-on switch for the wifi I wish it didn't have so many finger pads or buttons below the keyboard, I only use a mouse. There's a big space with a flap door on the side that I don't know what it's for. But overall, I would buy another one.

Lenovo IBM ThinkPad T61 Refurbished Notebook PC
Keyboard very flaky. It won't respond to key presses. Machine often requires 2 boots to get it working. Wouldn't recommend or buy again.

Disappointed
Upon arrival, a full night charge would only last 10 minutes. So I had to get a new battery before I could even use this laptop. Even with my hands off the touch pad, this unit has advanced through several windows of responses, apparently not needing my guidance. This unit isn't refurbished, it is a Good Will recycle.

Great value
Lenovo has done the IBM name proud with its laptops and the T61 is proof of that. I have a T60 and T61 and both run Windows 8 and Linux Mint. Don't be afraid too use Windows 8 on this machine even with its 2GB of RAM. I see it comes with XP which while okay is too outdated. Windows 7 and 8 will work very well.

My wife loves it
Bought for my wife and she loves it so far. I called the tech support for warranty statement and was very surprised that the warranty covers whole 1 year including battery and software. This is the first refurbished latop I've ever seen that carries this kind of warranty terms. Will recommend.
